The Only Computer Scientist in the Room

I'm sitting in my music class, trying really hard not to burst out laughing. The professor is trying to explain Fourier Transforms in like 15 minutes to a room full of media lab grad students. I am almost positive I am the only one in the room who knows what he's talking about, as he is speaking so quickly he's basically just listing terms. Also, since I'm the only one nodding in response to his incredibly disjointed lecture, he keeps talking to me. He's basically just staring at me now.

winter break trip.

this is a pre-notice, i'm trying to plan something for the winter break. maybe a road trip, or fly to Hawaii, or go to alex's tahoe house. farther detail will be sent to your facebook accounts later. right now i'm just trying to get a number of how many people showing interest. yes sadly what is left of our group has gone so low as to play D&D. and i am proud to say, i enjoy it. life is cool so far, i found out i pretty much failed english (big news.) and about to take 21 units. after consulting with pretty much everyone and got smacked in the head a bit i decided not to kill my self next term. anyway, now i'm working on my brother's company project and pretty much spend around 12-14 hours-a-day working on it. hopefully i get paid. right, and back to the point to the story, what is left of our group has gone to a new low and i would just like to report this news to everyone else hopefully they can help us think of a better method to waste our time.

back from teyhas

just got back from austin today; the wedding was pretting interesting. the bride's family were all conservative christian baptists...apparently, baptists don't get to dance because it's a sin, so there wasn't any first dance :P. it was funny because the minister dude struck me as a very lecherous guy--something about the way he introduced himself made me think that he would be the type to like... sleep with members of his congregation or something. haha... i had a very white trash day yesterday; we went to the shooting range, went bowling, and had pecan pie. i didn't like the shooting very much--i feel that i can do target practice just as well with things that aren't able to kill people. i have more to say on the topic but i suppose if anyone's interested, they'll ask. i brought some barbeque back in my luggage. on the shuttle home, there was this old guy who looked like a bum who turned out to be very interesting and told us stories about when he worked in advertising back in the day; he also said "grammatically speaking, i'm a semicolon" which really amused me.
on an unrelated note, crocodile hunter is dead and surprisingly, i'm actually rather sad about it.
